Red Dot awarded design from Germany and theNetherlands
Nederland is van oudsher succesvol bij de ‘red dot awards: product design'. In 2011 ontvingen maar liefst 46 winnende producten deze unieke onderscheiding. De tentoonstelling ‘design at the border' is een spannende confrontatie van Nederlandse en Duitse ontwerpen die zijn bekroond met de red dot. Van Knoll's MyChair tot Bugaboo, van Bott vario bedrijfswageninrichtingen tot Philips' LED tv. Red dot: "Both countries have already reached a top place in the international world of design. But it is not the search for stereotypes which only adulate the national ego. It is about similarities and differences that occur, when awarded objects from both nations face each other.
